Athlone Golf Club will host Friends Of St. Hilda’s Golf Classic on Friday 27th May 2022. The Golf Classic launched on Tuesday 14th April with Jack Carty and Athlone Municipal Authority Deputy Major Aengus O’Rourke in support of this event at the fantastic location of Athlone Golf Club.
This year the focus to all fundraising at St. Hilda’s is directed to the renovation of the Adult Training Centre, Grace Park Road, Athlone. This location provides day services to 20 adults with an intellectual disability, supporting them to participate actively in the community. The refurbishment and renovation will bring a high quality standard to the building giving all those who access the building the high quality environment they deserve.
“Our aim is to have the very best for those we serve in our community and we are delighted to be taking the initiative with this fundraiser” said Willie Brady, organiser of the Golf Classic. This year the Golf Event will be a competition with 4 persons – €200. St. Hilda’s are also seeking sponsors of Tees and Greens for this worthy cause . Entry forms are available at Central Office, St. Hilda’s Services, Grace Park Road Athlone, (090) 6475825 EXT 0, or from Willie Brady (087 -2251115).
